TAF@SGH Transformation STEM Intergration Coach

Federal Way, WA United States

About TAF

Every student can achieve academic success, yet the public education system was not designed to meet students of color where they dream — instead they marginalize them and underestimate their abilities. TAF partners with school districts, educators, colleges/universities, and organizations to challenge the current public education system. We help schools create healthy and safe learning environments that center student voice and cultivate students into socially conscious and self-aware critical thinkers, problem solvers, ideators, creators, and leaders. Specifically, we:

  • Co-manage TAF@Saghalie, our lighthouse 6th-12th grade neighborhood public school where we provide industry-relevant and equitable curriculum and experiences.
  • Partner with public schools and coach students and staff using our successful STEMbyTAF learning model.
  • Support and develop early-career educators of color through educational equity and liberation pedagogy.
  • Give school leaders the tools to create school environments where educators of color can thrive.
  • Provide professional development for teachers who are interested in using a pedagogy rooted in equity and student voice/choice.

Our approach to transforming public education is both rewarding and challenging and requires us to keep our north star focused on excellent outcomes for students. That means bringing our best every day and picking each other up when we can’t, which is why since 1996 we’ve maintained a family friendly, entrepreneurial, collaborative environment where staff can bring their entire selves and their ideas to work every day.

TAF is seeking passionate, dedicated individuals who want more than just a job - they want an opportunity to be their authentic selves while leaving a legacy of elevating students and teachers of color in education. TAF is rooted in equity, with a collaborative nature where continuous learning is valued. At TAF, you'll have the chance to co-create with like-minded changemakers and share your unique gifts to support students and teachers in a joyful, equitable culture. Work-life balance is important at TAF, as we support team members in pursuing their passions while making a meaningful impact. Ignite your purpose and join something special!
